Vijay Takes Oath as Tamil Nadu CM – Full Roster of 9 Ministers in His Inaugural Cabinet

C Joseph Vijay was sworn in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister as TVK forms government with alliance support and unveils its first Cabinet.

C. Joseph Vijay was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium after his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), secured majority support with backing from the Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML.

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar invited Vijay to form the government after the alliance crossed the majority mark in the 234-member Assembly.
