New Delhi: Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, posted on Twitter on Monday in advance of the WWDC, the company’s annual developer conference. The head of the iPhone manufacturer posted images of himself conversing with students who develop the iPhone music app.

On Twitter, Apple’s chief executive officer tweeted, “As we get ready to kick off #WWDC23 tomorrow, I met with students from all over the world who are creating apps that turn iPhone into musical instruments and bring the experience of reading braille to iPad through haptic feedback. Excited for what’s to come!”

Tonight marks the beginning of Apple’s WWDC 2023 at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. The keynote speech, which will be given by Tim Cook, is anticipated to be packed with significant updates and product announcements.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has stated that he anticipates the keynote talk to be more than two and a half hours.

The tech giant’s ‘Reality Pro’ mixed reality headgear is one of the most anticipated revelations at the Apple WWDC. The business has spent a considerable amount of time developing its product.

The AR/VR headset will face off against Meta’s recently launched Quest 3 headgear. The Apple headset will be comprised of glass, carbon fibre, and aluminum, according to a Bloomberg story.

It includes a magnetic charger for electricity, a curved front with an external screen to show the user’s facial expression and eyes, and it looks like ski goggles.

New Delhi: Everyone is anticipating Apple’s WWDC 2023 developer conference, where the corporation is expected to introduce a brand-new product category. Investors are showing more interest in future artificial intelligence (AI) announcements than the tech giant’s rumoured augmented reality (AR) headset, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo highlights the importance that investors have on AI developments by speculating that suppliers’ income and profits from Apple’s headgear may not increase significantly over the course of the next two years.

Investors, according to Kuo, believe that in the next two years, the headset “May not be a substantial revenue and profit contributor” for suppliers.

The success of Apple’s unveiling, in the opinion of investors, “will immensely impact 3D interaction design and 3D computer graphics.” If Apple enters the AR/VR wearable market, it will probably start a completely new market sector based on its past performance.

The Touch Bar and Mini-sized iPhones were two recent breakthroughs from Apple, but they weren’t as successful as expected.

Since programmes like ChatGPT and Midjourney become widely available, the term “AI-generated content” has become popular. Google and Microsoft have also entered the industry. Google only recently began to make its text-to-image tool connected with Google Slides available.

Therefore, it won’t be long before Apple enters the scene with its own generative AI. In comparison to Google Helper and Bing AI Copilot, Siri, Apple’s existing AI helper, falls far short.

Kuo claims that “investors believe it will help continue the current AI investment sentiment” if Apple introduces its AIGC service at WWDC. Apple might also produce something robust enough to spur interest in brand-new hardware.

The mixed-reality headset should fit in there. It might be Apple’s strategy for fusing 3D design, augmented reality, and AI. Last but not least, according to Kuo, if the Apple XR headset launch is a success, the business and its suppliers may gain from its combination with sales of the Watch, Mac, and iPhone.

New Delhi: Apple is reportedly planning to provide some developers and attendees with an opportunity to try out the new AR/VR headset (mixed reality) at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023. The company built a new “structure” at the “Apple Park” campus designed to provide controlled hands-on demos of the headset, reports MacRumors.

There will also be a hands-on area in the Steve Jobs Theater for hardware demonstrations after the keynote, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

“It sounds like Apple will also have a hands-on area in the Steve Jobs Theater – open to developers – for after the keynote – in addition to headset building,” he tweeted.

Hands-on experiences will include FaceTime in VR, Apple TV+ content, and games.

Moreover, the report said that users with migraines, vertigo, post-concussion syndrome, and past traumatic brain injuries will be warned not to use the headset.

Apple’s ‘WWDC 2023’ keynote event is set to be held on June 5. Meanwhile, Apple’s AR/VR headset will reportedly be available in six colours and two storage capacities.

The information was shared by the Twitter account @billbil_kun, which had accurately leaked a spec sheet for Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra before it was unveiled earlier this year.

According to the leaker, the new headset will come in black, blue, grey, green, pink and a sixth undisclosed colour.

New Delhi: Indore’s Asmi Jain, 20, was among those selected as the winners of Apple’s WWDC23 Swift Student Challenge who created original apps using the Swift coding language, the company said on Tuesday. The app playgrounds represent more than 30 countries and regions, and cover topics as varied as healthcare, sports, entertainment, and the environment.

“We are amazed by the talent we see from the young developers who enter our Swift Student Challenge,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations.

“This year’s submissions demonstrated not only the next generation’s commitment to building tools that will improve our lives, but also a willingness to embrace new technologies and tools, and deploy them in original and creative ways,” she added.

While at Medi-Caps University in Indore, Jain found out her friend’s uncle had to undergo brain surgery. As a result, he was left with eye misalignment and facial paralysis. Jain sprung into action, designing her winning playground to track a user’s eye movements as they try to follow a ball moving around the screen.

The playground’s purpose is to help strengthen the eye muscles, and though it was inspired by her friend’s uncle, Jain hopes it can be used by people with a variety of eye conditions and injuries. “It was important for me to create an app playground that could positively impact the lives of people like him,” said Jain.

“My next goal is to get feedback and make sure it’s effective and user-friendly, and then release it on the App Store. Ultimately, I want to expand it so that it helps strengthen all of the muscles in the face, and I hope it can one day serve as a therapy tool that people like my friend’s uncle can use at their own pace.”

According to her, coding lets her create things that help her friends and the community. “It gives me a sense of independence that is very empowering,” she added. When Apple WWDC23 kicks off on June 5, the challenge winners will be among those attending virtually and in person to see the keynote, events, labs, and activities available this year to the global Apple developer community.
