Robbery at Shilpa Shetty’s Juhu Residence, Police Detain 2 Suspects

MUMBAI: Mumbai police have detained two persons in connection with a theft at Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s home here, an official said on Thursday. As per PTI, some valuables were allegedly stolen from the actor’s residence in Juhu last week, the official said. Based on a complaint, a theft case was registered at Juhu police station and a probe was initiated, he said.

The probe team has detained two persons in this connection and their interrogation is on, the official added. The actor had filed a complaint at the police station after her residence was robbed.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently in Italy along with her entire family where she recently celebrated her birthday on June 8. She has been sharing stunning pictures and snippets on social media from her vacation in Tuscany.

The 48-year-old actress made her comeback to the silver screen in 2021 by starring in Hungama 2. She was also seen in Nikamma. According to India Today, Shilpa Shetty will also feature in Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut web-series, The Indian Police Force. The show also stars Vivek Oberoi and Sidharth Malhotra in vital roles.

Air India San Francisco-Mumbai Flight Cancelled Due To Technical Snag

Air India has cancelled its flight scheduled to fly from San Francisco to Mumbai due to a technical issue in the Boeing 777 aircraft. While regretting the disruption to its customers, Air India said the affected people have been offered the option of alternative flights or a full refund for the cancelled flight.

Flight AI180 was scheduled to operate from San Francisco to Mumbai on June 8 and was cancelled due to an “unforeseen technical issue”. Sources said the flight was initially delayed by a few hours due to some issues with an aircraft tyre, and subsequently, the flight was cancelled. Details about the number of passengers who had booked the flight could only be ascertained after a period of time.

On June 6, an Air India flight from Delhi to San Francisco carrying 216 passengers and 16 crew on board was diverted to the Magadan port city in far east Russia following a mid-air glitch in one of the Boeing 777-200LR aircraft engines. All were stranded in the port city for two days, and the replacement aircraft ferried them to San Francisco on June 8.

PM Modi To Flag Off Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express Tomorrow: Check Route, Timing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off India’s 19th Vande Bharat Express tomorrow, June 3, via video conferencing on the Mumbai-Goa route. With the inauguration of this new train, Mumbai will have 5 operational semi-high-speed trains. However, this train will be different from others as it will have 8 coaches instead of 16. Boosting connectivity in the region, the Vande Bharat Express will reduce the travel time between the two cities by around an hour, covering a distance of 586 km in 7 hours and 50 minutes.

The train will leave Mumbai for Goa at 5.25 in the morning and arrive at Madgaon at 1.15 in the afternoon. Likewise, the train will leave on its return trip at 2.35 pm and get to its destination at 10.25 pm during its inaugural journey. The train will begin regular operations starting from June 4.

The Mumbai Goa Vande Bharat Express will have stoppages at 10 stations. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai will serve as the train’s departure point, and stops will be made at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Thivim, and Madgaon. The train’s return trip from Mumbai to Goa will cover the same stations.

The Vande Bharat Express’s official ticket cost between Mumbai and Goa has not yet been disclosed. Though estimates place the cost of the tickets at about Rs 1,400. Taking into account the various railway classes, the ticket price may vary.

Before the flag off, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a video of the Vande Bharat train passing through a tunnel in the Kokan region. The video presented the scenic views offered on the journey in the Konkan Ghats.

There are now 18 routes in India where the Vande Bharat Express is in service. These semi-high-speed trains travel throughout India’s 22 states and Union Territories. The most services are offered by these domestically produced cutting-edge trains in Delhi and Mumbai. After the launch of the 19th train on Mumbai-Goa route, the 20th of these trains will be launched on Hubbali-Dharwad route in Karnataka. Once launched it will state’s second semi-high speed train.

Watch: Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express Completes Trial Run In Scenic Konkan Region

Indian Railways is scheduled to launch the new Vande Bharat Express train on the Mumbai-Goa route. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train tomorrow, June 3, via video conferencing. Before the official launch of the train, the Indian transporter completed a successful trial run of the train in the Konkan region. The official Twitter handle of the Ministry of Railways shared the video of the train traversing tracks in the Western Ghats.

The video starts by showing a bird’s eye view of the Vande Bharat Express train crossing a river bridge from multiple angles. A few seconds in, the train is shown cruising on tracks covered with trees on both sides. It is to be noted that the Western Ghats offer some of the most scenic views from a train, with the landscape changing between hills, forests, and rivers.

Once launched, the Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express will reduce the travel time between the two cities. Currently, the fastest between Mumbai and Goa takes around 8 hours and 50 minutes to complete the journey. However, the semi-high-speed train on the route will cover a distance of 586 km in 7 hours and 50 minutes.

The train will depart from Mumbai for Goa at 5.25 in the morning and reach Madgaon at 1.15 in the afternoon. On its return journey, the train will depart at 2.35 pm and arrive at its destination at 10.25 pm. The train will start running regularly on June 4.

There will be ten stations where the Mumbai Goa Vande Bharat Express will stop. The train will leave Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and stop in Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Thivim, and Madgaon. The same stops will be visited on the train’s return journey from Mumbai to Goa.

The Vande Bharat Express is currently operating on 18 routes in India. These semi-high-speed trains cover the 22 states and Union Territories of India. These domestically made state-of-the-art trains provide the most services in Delhi and Mumbai.

‘Indian Police Force’ is the newest addition to director Rohit Shetty’s cop universe which already includes movies like the ‘Singham’ franchise, ‘Simmba’ and ‘Sooryavanshi’. The upcoming fictional series aims to pay an ode to the “selfless service, unconditional commitment and fierce patriotism of our police officers across the country.”

Shilpa will also act in ‘KD-The Devil’ as Satyavati alongside V Ravichandran, and Sanjay Dutt.

New Delhi: Zerodha founder Nithin Kamath has announced that his trade-brokering company has created an internal AI policy to give clarity to the team amid the AI/Job loss anxiety. He further informed that it wouldn’t fire anyone on the team just because they have implemented a new piece of technology that made an earlier job redudant.

The recent breakthrough developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has forced the company to rethink its previous thoughts. “In 2021, we’d said that we hadn’t found AI use cases when everyone was claiming to be powered by AI without any AI. With recent breakthroughs in AI, we finally think AI will take away jobs and can disrupt society,” Nithin Kamath said in the linkedin post.

In today’s capitalism, Kamath said, business prioritized shareholder value creation above stakeholders like employees, customers, vendors, the country, & the planet. Market incentivize business leaders to prioritize profits over everything else, if not shareholders vote them out.

Govt Would Resist To Make Tough Guidelines On AI

Speaking on the disadvantage to employees due to AI rise, Kamath said “many companies will likely let go of employees and blame it on AI. In the process, companies will earn more and make their shareholders wealthier, worsening weatlh inequality. This isn’t a good outcome for humanity.”

Kamath added: “While the hope is for governments worldwide to put some guardrails, it may be unlikely given the deglobalization rhetoric. No country would want to sit idle while another becomes more powerful on the back of AI.”

New Delhi: Veteran actor Suniel Shetty has been named the official brand ambassador of a new food tech startup called ‘Waayu’. The Mumbai-based startup, co-founded by Anirudha Kotgire and Mandar Lande of Destek HORECA, aims to provide affordable and timely food delivery services to customers, with a focus on Mumbai. The app is aiming to compete with established players such as Zomato and Swiggy in the metropolitan area.

In a LinkedIn post, Mandar Lande announced Shetty’s appointment as the brand ambassador, saying, “We are excited and so happy to share with you all that actor and entrepreneur, basically the man who actually needs no introduction, none other than Mr. Suniel Shetty is our official brand ambassador of the WAAYU app!!!”
