“The cancellation applies to all challans issued between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2021, regardless of the vehicle type. This includes cases that are currently pending in various courts,” the official statement said. In this regard, Transport Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Singh has instructed all divisional transport officers to withdraw these challans from the portal once they receive the court’s list of abated cases.

Transport Commissioner Singh said, “This cancellation of old pending challans is in accordance with Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 2 of June 2023. This move paves the way for the waiver of crores of challans across Uttar Pradesh.”

“Following the cancellation of old pending challans, the drivers should not panic after this period. They can fill online traffic challans while sitting at home. Detailed information can be obtained by visiting the official website of UP Traffic Police, and for this, only the vehicle number is required,” he added. He also mentioned that drivers can file a complaint if they believe that a wrong challan has been issued to them.

“Moreover, if drivers believe that a wrong challan has been issued, they can also file a complaint directly on the website. A mobile notification is also sent when a vehicle’s challan is deducted, ensuring prompt communication,” he said.

If rumors are to be believed, the automaker might even bring an N-Line version of the mid-size SUV to India.

Honda Elevate: Competition

The Honda Elevate is the company’s first attempt to ride on the success of the mid-size SUVs in India and will compete with popular cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.

Honda Elevate: Dimensions

The Honda Elevate is a mid-size SUV, and is expected to have an overall length of around 4.3 meters, much like the competition in the segment. The height and width is expected to be same as most of the rivals as well, however the wheelbase can be larger, to accommodate more cabin space. 

Honda Elevate: Design

The car has been spotted multiple times testing and the teaser image also reveals some details of the SUV. The Honda Elevate will have an upright stance and probably a strong front-end design, bearing a large chrome grille like the Honda Amaze and Honda City. It also gets muscular wheel arches, a headlight design representing the Honda DNA, and similar other features. 

Honda Elevate: Cabin

The Honda Elevate can get a cabin similar to the Honda City, with a large free standing infotainment system, along with a single-pane sunroof and a 5-seater cabin setup. No new platform has been devised for the Honda Elevate and it will be based on a platform that draws from the previous Honda models in India, specifically, the Honda City, which has the similar dimensions. 

Honda Elevate: Engine

The Honda Elevate is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, similar to that of the Honda City, that will be tuned to provide the SUV with good fuel efficiency. While the City gets a Hybrid mill as well, the Honda Elevate might be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol-electric strong hybrid unit at the get go. However, sources reveal that the hybrid engine will be added in the later stages. 

Honda Elevate: Price

The Honda Elevate is expected to be priced around Rs 10.50 lakh (Ex-showroom) for the base version and can go upto Rs 20 lakh for the strong hybrid variants (if added to the lineup).

Co-founded in 2021 by Reehal and Gursimran Kalra, the Bangalore-based tech platform plans to produce fully-autonomous vehicles on the lines of the ones by global tech giants such as Tesla and Google. The startup also plans to leverage AI to resolve issues confronted by tech firms trying to produce autonomous vehicles suitable for Indian roads.

The platform also floated a whitepaper on “Nature-Inspired AI” (NIA), claiming it as a novel approach to building generalized autonomous agents inspired by the physics-aware vision and the predictive decision-making capabilities of a human brain, making it efficient in handling real-world road scenarios.

Using NIA, Minus Zero introduced the concept of ‘True Vision Autonomy’ (TVA), which they believe is the safest and most scalable approach to autonomous driving, and can scale up to Level 5 autonomy, it said. TVA is vehicle agnostic and relies only on cameras as its sensor suite.

The company also plans expanding its autonomous vehicle trials in foreign markets with stable regulatory norms over the next two years, including public road trials. “With true vision autonomy coming to the fore, one can make autonomous vehicles a reality, solving major pain points of the mobility paradigm,” said Reehal, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Minus Zero.

The company said autonomous vehicles can be used in several use-cases, including deploying them for commuting in various campuses, including residential campuses, various institutes, and many other areas.

The New Tata Nexon EV Max gets multiple other feature upgrades like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity features, an integrated voice assistant, and reverse parking camera.

The Nexon EV Max has a 40.5kWh battery, according to ARAI, giving it a 453km range.e The front wheels receive power from the single electric motor, which produces 143 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

It comes with a 3.3kW and a 7.2kW charger as standard. When using the former, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in a claimed 15 hours, but when using the latter, it takes 6.5 hours. Tata claims that the Nexon EV Max Dark can support up to 50kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 0% to 80% in 56 minutes.

The cheapest variant of the Tata Nexon EV Max is priced at Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom) while the Dark XZ+ Lux 7.2 kW AC Fast Charger is the most expensive variant of the car with a price of Rs 19.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

Sachin Tendulkar’s new SUV comes with multiple upgrades over its previous versions. However, visibly the car is more or less the same as its previous versions. Some of the changes in its exteriors include a bonnet with cooling vents and design changes in the rear and front bumpers, among other things. Talking about the exteriors, Sachin seems to have chosen a colour very similar to his former teammate, Rohit Sharma’s Lamborghini.

The SUV designed for performance gets an air suspension system aided by a fixed coil setup for better handling. Furthermore, the car offers multiple driving modes like Sabbia (Sand), Neve (Snow), and Terra (Mud) for different terrains. The Italian marquee has recently launched the new iteration of its best-selling car in India and is placed right below the Performante version.

The Urus S is the first Lamborghini car to enter Sachin Tendulkar’s garage. However, it is not the first Sports SUV that the Indian cricketer owns. He also has a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Sachin Tendulkar’s reason for choosing the Urus S as his new car can probably be explained by its performance. A 4.0-litre engine V8 twin-turbo petrol engine powers the sports SUV, which is the same as the Cayenne Turbo S. However, in the Lamborghini, the engine is tuned to produce 666hp. Working with an 8-speed torque converter gearbox, it can propel the car from 0-100kph in 3.6 to 3.5 seconds.

Besides the Porsche and Lamborghini SUVs, Sachin Tendulkar owns multiple luxury cars like BMW 7-Series Li, BMW X5M, BMW i8, BMW 5-Series, and others.
